Joe Buturlia named to VIASYS Healthcare Technical Advisory Board
WILMINGTON, Mass., August 03, 2001 / Joseph Buturlia, Vice President of Operations and Technology Development of Tecomet, has been named to the VIASYS Healthcare Technical Advisory Board. Buturlia will be one of ten people from the various companies that have been brought together to make up
VIASYS to form the Technical Advisory Board. In forming the board, Randy Thurman, CEO of VIASYS Healthcare has charged these talented individuals, who will be representing the more than 2000 employees of VIASYS, with "Continually examining the changing global healthcare market, and providing direction to VIASYS on technology, competition, provider and patient needs, and acquisition opportunities."
With his background in manufacturing engineering technologies and business management, Joe is uniquely qualified for this important position. He has successfully managed operating units for Tecomet that have brought about profitable growth and breakthrough technological advancements. His technical expertise has led to the development of the HTC grid used in high resolution mammography settings, the metal-to-metal bonding processes that are used so successfully in the left ventricular assist device, revolutionary design in nuclear imaging devices, and many other technology applications that are accepted throughout industry.
